Beautiful Theming by Prop Studios for Burlesque Against Breast Cancer Event

 

'Props Studios were delighted to have donated their design and props production services to the Burlesque Ball.

Our design team created a series of props that paid homage to the theme of a vintage French Circus, with a twist of modernity.  The 2m by 2m ‘knife throwers’ heart was constructed out of aged wood and then painted in pink and gold layers.  This was completed with an intricate moulded frame and placed on top of a 3-tiered platform, which had been hand painted in cerise to match.

Also adorning the stage was a luxurious chaise-lounge covered in cerise velvet and edged with gold detailing.  Props Studios integrated the piece of furniture into the set design to increase the glamour and provide the entertainers with a prop which they could seductively drape themselves upon.

Antique candelabras and chandeliers created atmosphere through lighting. Giant gold sculpted pillars created a feeling of grandeur and framed the stunning set.

Victorian inspired birdcages were also antiqued in gold, with red-mirrored hearts placed inside.  Props Studios electrical team constructed these items so that the birdcages rotated on the stage – mimicking the enticing movements of the entertainers and creating a glittering atmosphere.

Framing the entire stage were giant pink velvet curtains – adding to the indulgent and sultry theme conjured by Props Studios and the Burlesque Against Breast Cancer Ball team.
