Prop Studios theme the Hard Rock Cafe

Ice Event

Props Studios, were commissioned by Hard Rock Cafe to produce a stylish and modern Christmas scheme for a specific event they held on the 22nd and 23rd April.

Props Studios created a magical ice palace within selected areas of the venue.  The bar was crafted and dressed to appear as if it was made from ice.  This effect was achieved by VAC forming clear plastic, roughly shaped to imitate carved ice, which was then moulded to the front of the bar.  The plastic was then back lit with blue lights to further enhance the ice theme.

An ice cave, which was designed for people to sit and drink in, was crafted out of  moulded plastic, with fairy lights laying beneath white angel hair to give a gentle glow of white and blue light. The cave was placed upon white long haired mock fur to give the impression of freshly settled snow.  

The mock fur along, with artificial snow, was used elsewhere throughout the venue to texture the room and soften the dark wood interior.

Strategically placed throughout the venue were also stylised reindeers, crafted out of white glass reinforced plastic.  These animals helped to add to the magical wild ice theme.

This event forms the start of a new business partnership for Props Studios with Hard Rock Café.   Props Studios have, over the past year, started to actively market their services to the events sector.  (After concentrating on the retail industry for the last 29 years and obtaining numerous events contracts purely by recommendation and word of mouth, Props Studios decided to increase their visibility within the events industry).

The event itself was deemed by, both, Hard Rock Café and Props Studios to be a success.  The theming gained lots of positive attention and admiration from the various event delegates.
